Welcome to the PF&G IDPA website
PF&G is proud to announce that the IDPA
program has been restarted for the 2012 season, and beyond, under the
leadership of Arthur Harvey and his team.Thank you to
everyone who participated at PFG in the past, and we hope to see you again
at this years matches. See the PFG online event calendar for dates and
descriptions.
In 2005, Pelham became officially IDPA affiliated. Our courses of fire, and our IDPA SO's (Safety Officers) are IDPA certified. Our goal is to have matches with challenging stages that are geared toward improving general defensive and practical shooting skills, as well as use of concealment and cover in defensive shooting situations.
As always, we welcome your suggestions.
You can get more information on the official IDPA website at www.idpa.com. While you do not have to be an IDPA member, it is recommended. Shooters will be required to sign a waiver prior to participating in any match.
You need not be a PF&G member to shoot
in the matches. Entry fee $20, $10 for PF&G members and $5 for match
staff.
PFG Equipment Requirements
First-time shooters are always welcome, but they will be asked to demonstrate that they can safely handle their sidearm (draw from a holster, and re-holster, etc.) and/or carbine.
Handgun Stages
- Pistol or revolver
- 2 Extra magazines or speedloaders
- Holster that covers the trigger guard
- Magazine pouch
- concealment Garment (a shirt, vest, or light jacket will work fine)
- Eye and Ear protection (required for ALL participants and observers, no
exceptions)
- 100 to 150 rounds of ammunition (200 recommended in case we have time to shoot more)
Carbine Stages
For a Carbine Match, we will run a cold range. All long guns
must arrive
at the range cased. Once you register, you may carry your rifle cased, or slung muzzle
down. You will need the following:
- A semi-automatic carbine chambered in either a pistol cartridge, or intermediary rifle cartridge (.223, .308, 7.62x39)
- A suitable case - do not come to the range with an uncased rifle.
- Approximately 100 rounds of ammunition - absolutely NO STEEL CORE (not just AP has a steel core)
- At least 3 magazines
- A rifle case or sling is required between stages.
If slung, the rifle muzzle must point down (Tactical Slings are okay) - No exceptions.
